Textbook Analysis

Final task

• Find a course book of English for elementary/high schools published by Indonesian publishers.
• It is not allowed to have the same book to analyze. Each student has to take a different book. Please do not analyze old books (published before Competency-based curriculum / KBK was issued).
• Write an analysis about the book based on the theory you have already studied. If you base the writing on the book written by Cunningsworth (1995), take at least two chapters (the chapter you already presented and chapter 12) for analyzing the coursebook you have chosen. It is better if you add more references (more chapters or more books) in your analysis.
• The analysis should include evidence from the course book (you may scan or take pictures using your camera, or just capture if the course book is a soft copy).
• The length of the analysis is about 1500 words (excluding the evidence).
• The body of the work could be:

o   Introduction

o   The Analysis (subtitles would depend on what kind your analysis is)

o   Conclusion (results and suggestions)

o   References

• The criteria for a good analysis are:

o   Originality (a student may fail if the work is a copy from others / plagiarism).

o   The sharpness of the analysis.

o   Accuracy (grammatically).

• The work has to be submitted before 11 January 2014.
